Poka Snackâ„¢ has not yet launched and is expected to debut on Kickstarter in Summer 2026.
A Cross-Merchandising Concept for the Produce Aisle
Every week, millions of shoppers add bananas to their grocery carts. They're affordable, nutritious, and one of the most frequently purchased fruits in the produce department.
But what if bananas inspired more than just breakfast, smoothies, or banana bread?
What if they inspired a completely new snacking experience?
That simple question helped inspire the idea behind Poka Snackâ„¢.
Looking at Bananas a Little Differently
The best time to freeze a banana is when it's perfectly ripe. Freezing locks in its flavor and texture, creating a naturally creamy, sweeter-tasting snack that's perfect for homemade frozen treats.
The problem is that preparing and enjoying frozen bananas isn't always convenient.
That's where the idea for Poka Snackâ„¢ began. It also sparked another question: Could displaying Poka Snackâ„¢ alongside bananas encourage more people to freeze ripe bananas and enjoy healthy frozen fruit at home?
A Different Way to Think About Grocery Shopping
As we developed Poka Snackâ„¢, another question came to mind.
If bananas are one of the most popular items in the grocery store, would shoppers naturally discover Poka Snackâ„¢ if it were displayed nearby?
The concept image above explores that possibility.
Rather than placing a reusable fruit accessory in the kitchen gadget aisle, imagine discovering it exactly where the inspiration begins—next to fresh bananas.
The goal is to help shoppers discover a new way to enjoy fruit they already buy every week.
Why Cross-Merchandising Matters
Retailers often place complementary products together because it makes shopping easier.
Apples with carmel during Halloween
Pancake mix + syrupÂ
Taco shells/tortillas + taco seasoning + taco kitsÂ
Cake mix + frostingÂ
These combinations help shoppers complete an idea rather than simply purchase individual items. We believe fresh produce may offer similar opportunities.
Helping shoppers eat healthier snacking while helping reduce food waste.
A Concept for the Future
As we continue developing Poka Snackâ„¢, we're also exploring merchandising ideas like this one that could make discovering frozen fruit treats easier and more inspiring. Our planned Kickstarter launch is expected in Summer 2026.
Whether Poka Snackâ„¢ eventually appears in kitchen aisles, online, or perhaps someday next to bananas in grocery stores, our mission remains the same:
Help people transform everyday fruit into fun, delicious frozen treats.
